Visual Art News

In term 3 all students will be exploring the work of Australian artist John Wolseley. The NGV Australia is currently showing a wonderful exhibition of Wolseley's work and it would fantastic if students are able to visit the exhibition in the holidays so they are familiar with his work and are able to view it close up. (The intricacies of his line work  and mark making do get lost in photographs and reproductions.)

Many thanks,
Hannah Rother-Gelder

  1. Hannah, are you able to give us some ideas about how we can approach an outing like this? For example, what kind of things to look for in the artwork, things we can say or do to pique our child's interest? I would love to visit during the school holidays but it would be great to know how to encourage and support engagement with this artwork. Thanks! :-)
