Wide brimmed hats are a requirement for ALL students at Princes Hill Primary School.
Students who do not have hats at school will need to go to the area outside of the Art Room for the whole lunch and recess break time.
Caps do not provide enough protection so please ensure it is a wide brimmed hat.
Also singlet tops, shirts and dresses that expose shoulders are also not advised to be worn!

Grand Parent's Day
Dear Parents, Carers, Grandparents and special friends,
We would like to remind you of our Grandparents' Day next week. The morning tea is held on Thursday December 3rd at 10am to 11am in the foyer of the gym. We would appreciate if on the day you could bring a plate of food to share. Please label the ingredients so we can cater for people with allergies. You will need to drop of your plate of food in the aftercare space (in the gym) before 9 or bring your plate at 10am when you arrive. We would love some parent volunteers to help make tea and coffee on the day. If you can be of assistance just let one of the prep teachers know.
After viewing a short performance by the preps, Grandparents and special friends will enjoy our morning tea and then view the prep neighbourhood and student portfolios. We look forward to seeing you there and hopefully grandparents too!

Our Long Jump Maths Game!
The students have been working on altering one of their invented games to include the scoring of points. We have explored ways of keeping track of scores when you need to add two points together. We are now exploring playing the game in reverse where you start with ten points and take away each jump's score. The winner has the least points in the end.

TRANSITION INFORMATION
Dear Parents,
The Prep Transition sessions will begin on Thursday the 5th
November at 9.00am and are held every Thursday morning throughout November. During
this time, the kindergarten children will be coming to school to experience the
Prep neighbourhood as part of our transition program for 2016.
To accommodate for this our current Preps will be involved in
the Tabloid Sports experience from 9-11am on these days. As the kinder children
will be meeting in the Prep courtyard we have organised the following
procedures to keep things simple. Please do not come into the Prep courtyard on
these mornings. The teachers will be occupied with the kinder families. Any
urgent communication can be relayed through the office on these mornings.
On arrival at school;
·
Prep children go with their bags directly to the area
outside of the Library (under the shade sail) where they will be met and
assisted by Kerri & Anne (Assistant Principals)
·
Kerri & Anne will direct you as to where to have children
put their bags
·
There will be home group signs set up and we ask for
parents to assist in having their children seated behind these cones so the
roll can be taken.
·
The lunch order tub will be available in this area.
For the morning
·
The children will need running shoes, sunscreen and hats
Thankyou for your assistance,
Maddy Yardy
